Who is behind Spotlight on Society?
Hi, I’m Willow Sipling, and these are my reflections and research.
I’m an organizational sociologist focusing my research and writing on organizational ethics, religious fundamentalism, and conversion therapy, and I’m a sociology PhD student at Western Michigan University. My time goes to working within the community, serving as a nonprofit leader at OutCenter Southwest Michigan, on a research project with the Kalamazoo Public Defender, as a Board Member with the City of Kalamazoo Civil Rights Commission, and as a General Civil Mediator with Citizens Mediation Service. I’m a lover of indoor climbing, dystopian and solarpunk literature, K-dramas, local cuisine, and spending time with friends.
My background includes work, research, and certifications in HR, organizational development, and communications. I do fractional/contract consulting on this topics; learn more at my website: willowsipling.com.
